Ireland Music Tour: June 14, 2026

Janette

Janette lives in Ayr, Ontario and is a participant on the Inishfree Irish Music Tour. Here she is standing by the Cliffs of Moher, the second busiest attraction in Ireland behind the Guinness Factory. She is travelling with her good friend David, from Kitchener, her travel partner for many adventures.

Annabel

Annabel is from Melbourne, Australia. This is her second time on an Inishfree Irish Music Tour, both with David Francey as the musician host. In the small circle of travelling folk musicians from Canada who venture to Australia, she is known as Auntie Annabel. She has housed many musicians touring in Australia and playing in Melbourne. She first met David Francey when he stayed with her in Melbourne. When not hosting musicians, she is a magistrate in Family Court. I took Annabel’s portrait at the Poulnabrone Dolmen Portal Tomb dating to 5800 BCE. It is located in the Burren, a plateau of severely eroded limestone and poor soils, known for grazing beef cattle.

Jennifer and Royce

Royce and Jennifer, from Texas, are relaxing here in front of the Falls Hotel in Ennistymon. They are participants on the Inishfree Irish Music Tour. A bus tour is a big departure for these two frequent travellers, but fans of sea shanties will try anything. The two of them spent over 10 years sailing the world.
