Today was a windy walk through an area rich with summer houses and pastures. In Navia we stopped at to purchase new SIM cards for Shelagh’s and my phone. We reached La Caridad in the early afternoon, just as the albergue, La Xana, was opening. It is a lovely albergue in a recently renovated older building. The back garden was a popular hangout as the hostel filled with pilgrims. We showered and headed out for lunch. The host recommended we eat at El Pozo, known for food authentic to the area. We had great meals. We picked up some snacks and breakfast food at a grocery store and headed back to the albergue to play some cards.
