Lake Superior Provincial Park: September 13, 2025

  • by

When visiting Lake Superior Provincial Park, we always stay at the Agawa Bay Campground. It is located on a beautiful beach full of colourful tumbled stones and driftwood. The campground is nestled between the Trans Canada Highway and Lake Superior. If the lake is calm, you hear the traffic, mostly big trucks transporting goods across the country. Traffic is lighter at night as drivers fear hitting moose so far from any community. If the lake is lively, you feel a constant breeze and hear the sound of stones being rolled smooth in the surf.

Glen

Glen is a full-time RVer, living in an Escape 19 Trailer, the same trailer as us. When his wife passed away, he bought a Scamp trailer, left Florida and started travelling year round. He upgraded trailers in 2021 and is still going strong. This summer he travelled to Alaska and is slowly making his way south again though Canada. This is his second time at Lake Superior Provincial Park. He said he spends most of the winter in Texas at really nice free campgrounds.
