Diego and Henry live in Georgetown and enjoy exploring the Bruce Trail through day hikes. I met them at a pretty area known as the Silver Creek Conservation Area. Henry is writing a blog post about thruhiking the Bruce Trail and was very interested in the logistics and gear required. I’m sure Henry will one day complete his own thruhike.

Janet and Jason were section hiking in the Terra Cotta Forest. I came up on them as I neared the end of my day. Jason is part of a photography club in Burlington and was interested in my camera. He invited me to join his club.

I finished my day at the Spirit Tree Estate Cidery, I bought a bottle of pear cider and a piece of pizza to eat under their tent while I waited for my ride. Feroz and Jennifer were also enjoying the shade of the tent. They had discovered the cidery a year earlier when they were on a day hike. This time they skipped the hike and came straight to the cidery. Ron, a friend from Midland, met me here and drove me in his Porch to a farm field south of Orangeville where we had permission to camp. I slept in my tent and Ron in his Porche, his version of ‘Vanlife’. We were to spend two nights in this location, but we had a problem, Ron developed a radiator leak entering the field and his rearview mirror broke off while he crawled from the front seat to the rear hatch.
