John is the Trail Captain for the most northerly section of the Bruce Trail. I met him on my final day as he was clearing and marking an alternate (blue trail) for those who found the rocky main (white) trail too challenging. This section was challenging where it met Georgian Bay for the last time.
Here I touch the Northern Terminus Cairn in Tobermory. I was happy to reach the end of the trail, but I knew I had unfinished business. I had one 30 km section to complete near Orangeville before I could say I had completed the trail.
