Paul and Linda Buchanan are the proprietors of the Highland Manor Inn in Owen Sound. The Inn is a beautiful old historic residence hidden half way up the escarpment that caters to hikers. I had booked two nights with them on the recommendation of previous Bruce Trail hikers. My wife Kelly was coming to join me for the first night. The Inn is only a 300 m walk from the trail so I walked to it the previous night, and had Kelly drop me off 33 km past it this day. This was the only day I walked southbound on the trail to return to the Inn. The following day Linda graciously offered to shuttle me to my next starting point.
