Henry, a retired physician from Paris, Ontario, was out for a weekend of hiking with friends. He was trying to identify the abundant white flowers around him using Google photo id when I met him. Henry has completed the Bruce Trail twice by section hiking. He and his friends were, coincidently, staying at the same place as me that night, the Highland Manor Inn in Owen Sound.

Anna, Marisa, and Mike spotted me hiking on Hwy 26 early on June 2, 2002 as they entered Owen Sound. I met them in the afternoon on a road section of the trail, east of town, near the Boyd Bruce Trail Conservancy Protected Natural Area. The trail leads through some impressive crevices here. They have been hiking the Bruce Trail together in sections. This weekend, they were completing three hikes on the Sydenham Section, east and west of Owen Sound.
