Dave is a childhood friend of Ron’s who assisted him in his end-to-end hike of the Bruce Trail. Ron recruited him to help me. We met at lunch in Kilgorie where we ate and then hiked on. I spent the next five nights with Dave and his wife Judy in Nottawa. Dave dropped me at my starting points early and picked me up again at the end of each day. Judy cooked wonderful suppers for me and welcomed me into their home.
Edward joined us in Kilgorie while we ate lunch. He lives at the adjoining property and came to see what we were up to. He immigrated from Germany and settled in Alliston. He spent a career as a grocer and now tends to his properties.
