Camino San Salvador begins in Leon, Spain, travels 130 km north through the Cantabrian Mountains, and ends at the Cathedral of Saint Saviour in Oviedo, Spain. The relics attributed to Jesus that are housed here are the draw causing pilgrims to make this detour from the Camino Frances for close to 1000 years. There is an old saying: “He who goes to Santiago and not to El Salvador, honours the servant and forgets the Lord.”
